Successful entrepreneur Michel Perridon has launched a remarkable project - constructing a massive safari park in South Africa's Free State. The park is expected to be one of the largest in the region and will home a diverse range of rare and unique bird and animal species.
Michel Perridon , the well-known and richest entrepreneur based in Rotterdam, is venturing into a new and thrilling project in South Africa : the creation of a gigantic safari park .
Perridon, who built his fortune with computer accessory company Trust, sold off the business in 2018 and has since been pursuing his dream of new adventures. That dream has now materialized in the Free State, a province in the heart of South Africa. Perridon's new project covers a massive area of 28,000 hectares, which is approximately half the size of Rotterdam.
Perridon, who has been working tirelessly to realize this dream, purchased 36 adjoining farms and combined them into a unified, contiguous nature reserve. The park itself was named Maloba, which means 'the day before yesterday' in the local dialect. It is expected to house a diverse range of rare and unique bird and animal species found in the Kalahari Desert.
The park serves as a sanctuary for these species that were previously difficult to observe in their natural habitat due to the challenging conditions of the Kalahari. As of now, a few animals including ostriches, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, and zebras have already taken residence in the trophy park
