FIFA 'saturday issued an evaluation report on the potential organization of the final tournament by Saudi Arabia . The report confirms that Saudi Arabia will bid unhindered for the World Cup , suggesting that the event will be hosted in the country in 2034. Despite concerns about human rights in the country, FIFA has given Saudi Arabia a high average score of 4.2 out of 5. The report suggests the World Cup could act as a catalyst for reforms in the country.
However, several activist groups immediately condemned the FIFA report. Sustainability of the World Cup is also under discussion, with matches expected to take place in temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius. This has led to the World Cup being planned for winter, as was the case in Qatar in 2022
